Tha 4orce + Confucius MC – More To It EP + Music Video

UK Hip Hop veteran Tha 4orce and the up and coming Confucius MC take it to the streets of south London in this moody throwback to the golden era of Hip Hop, shot by UK pioneers Global Faction.

South London’s Confucius MC is a unique voice, rising above the noise and cutting through the clichéd conversations. The son of a Irish/British teacher and a Grenadian musician, the young Con fell upon the teachings of his namesake – the Chinese philosopher Confucius – after becoming enamoured with the movies of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and the like.

After buying Wu Tang Clan’s iconic ’36 Chambers’ album with his high school work experience money the seed was planted. But it wasn’t until he heard A Tribe Called Quest’s Dilla, produced ‘Beats, Rhymes & Life’ that his own unique brand of lyricism began to blossom. As one half of live duo =CoN+KwAkE= Con has opened up for the likes of Mos Def, Public Enemy and Slum Village; the MC/drummer tag-team’s unique stage show spawning a formula that Kwake has since masterfully translated to his backing of MC’s like Jehst, Dels and the mighty DOOM.

His debut release ‘The Highest Order’(YNR Productions) – produced entirely by Parisian beat-smith Keor Meteor firmly established Confucius MC as one of London’s emerging new talents.

Tha 4orce’s career has embodied Hip Hop culture from the very beginning. He started his career with Ronin, Hip Hop crew of the late 1980’s where he saw national success with their single ’Who Got The Last Laugh’. His career progressed from a label deal with Virgin back to a more successful time with Ronin which stretched to the US when Tha 4orce tore up a performance with Boogie Down Productions in New York and garnered much love from the US music industry.

Tha 4orce progressed into music production and engineering. His various remix and production credits include: Amy Winehouse, Sugababes Ms Dynamite, Reef, Oleta Adams, Phoebe One, Foxy Brown, Blackstreet, LL Cool J, Common, Gravediggers, Busta Rhymes and Alkaholiks. Steve has also completed many album projects with artists such as; Nash who’s debut album the chancer sold 40,000 units worldwide in 2001,Izzi Dunn (String arranger for gorillas), Noel McKoy and Poynt Blak, as well as his own solo albums.
