Urban Vault caught up with UK urban/HipHop music collective FlickaDotCircus to ask them some questions about their music, inspirations & the industry...

Consisting of producer LOA, MC's Alfalfa and KillaNick, as well as various other DJ members, FlickaDotCircus have been formulating their sound together in the studio, mastering and producing their sound together over the last year. Members have been performing separately at the same gigs as The XX, Foreign Beggars, Reeps One and have performed at many gigs across the UK including the big summer festival ‘The Secret Garden Party’, Cargo, Liverpool Barfly and supporting the ‘Love Music Hate Racism’ campaign.

As a group from 2011!
How many songs /albums have you released to date?
We have released two eps .the first was in december 2011 called FGT. Our latest ep is called compact 33, both can be downloaded from flickadotcircus.tumblr.com or streamed from flickadotcircus.bandcamp.com
Can you tell us about your new EP compact 33, the background and inspirations behind it?
well its futuristic. Elements of Hip Hop/Grime /Indie. Too be honest we just do whats natural and take it from there really.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
like most artists its a hobby and a passion that has developed into something more serious.
What do you think of the music industry in 2012?
well its a bit of a sham! its becoming less and less about the music and you almost have to create your own culture for people to warm to and follow.
Who inspires you when you make your music?
Every piece of music weve ever listened to,including shit music aswell as there is a lot to be learnt from bad mistakes of others.
Who have you collaborated with so far in your Career?
Flickadotcircus dont really collaberate at the minute.
Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Anyone thats good and that has something fresh to bring to the table, it would be good to work with some american artists.

Barbara Streisand collection.
What do you think of TV music talent show competitions?
Shocking. Hardly worth a mention.
What do you do when your not making music?
Thinking about making music , hustling , gardening.

Plain clothes.

A few ,collectively im sure theres loads.
