Black Milk continues the path laid out by the late great J-Dilla as Detroit’s own Producer / MC with a soulful sound and hard as hell drums!
A real favorite of The Doctor’s Orders this will be his 6th show with us in what has been a stellar career. Having produced eleven full length solo and collaborative albums, including those as Random Axe, as well as a host of work for the like of Elzhi, GZA, KRS One, Slum Village, Guilty Simpson and Pharoahe Monch he is without doubt one of the hardest working and most in demand producers around.
Add to that his lyrical skill and content and you have one of those rare breeds of truly talented Producer / MCs. With a live show featuring the incredible Nat Turner live band the energy created in Camden’s legendary Jazz Café is sure to be incredible.
Keeping the stage hot before Black Milk graces it will be the local hero Micall Parknsun. A producer / MC like the headliner, Micall Parknsun is an incredible artist that will undoubtably give ticket holders way more to boast about.
