Following on from the recent ‘Jazzmatic’ b/w ‘Get That’ single from Lego and the Triple Darkness Crews Cyrus Malachi, Ray Vendetta & Tesla’s Ghost with ‘Pariah’ b/w ‘Who Are They’ now comes the third installment in the ‘BBP Single Series’….Elliot Fresh’s – ‘Surfing’ b/w ‘Kebab Vomit’….

Surfing is a reflection on the days Elliot used to – and on the rare occasion still does – spend hallucinating with his head firmly lodged up his own arsehole. We’ve all been there (not up Elliot’s arsehole) but remember that moment when you come to in a house where the party has died and is now rotting. The place is now a bin and stinks appropriately. Your only mission is to somehow get out of that house into the ‘real’ world but shit’s still a bit difficult to process so it takes time and with a stupid, still partially tripping brain, you’re inadvertently drawn into a mini crisis of existential proportion trying to get the fuck out of there only to find that actually you’re being a fucking idiot and really just need a couple hours sleep, a cup of tea and a bit of fruit or bacon or something.

Kebab Vomit is Elliot sort of reflecting narrow-mindedly on how shit Hip Hop can be. Halfway through, he forgets what he’s discussing, steers in the wrong direction briefly before finding his path again (at which point the instrumental had pretty much run out so he decided to finish off by bigging up his mates and summing it up with a half-arsed conclusion based around the ethics of honesty).
