Chicago based Hip Hop / Funk / Soul band GREENLIGHTS have just released their new single ‘Truly Bold’. The song will appear on their third project ‘GL3’, set to be released on October 17th with a live band performance in Chicago at the Hideout with Ron P’s original band Abstract Giants.

GREENLIGHTS began as a a Chicago-based collaboration of three artists. Nathanial Joseph aka CasaGrown (emcee), Willow Wells (vocalist/song writer), and Andrés Roldán aka Ron P (emcee/producer/engineer). Now, as they are set to release their THIRD group project, they seem to have honed in on their group identity and defining sound.

The music that is GREENLIGHTS is experimental and innovative, but it never loses sight of its traditional Hip Hop, funk, and soul roots from which it derives. This is definitely the groups best album to date. Not only does it give the listener intelligent and smooth lyrics as well as angelic but powerful vocals present in every record, but this time the production is at it’s very best. Multi-break-beat arrangements and thoughtful symphonies of sound give a smooth, but edgy feeling to their music.
