London-based producer and ‘DJ’s DJ’ John Monkman unveils ‘AURORA’ his third collaboration with industry heavyweight Pete Tong.

A deeply blissful track, ‘AURORA’ is the perfect blend of roaring synths, fleeting hats and mind-altering beats. Each element is gradually introduced; resulting in one of those rare songs where you can just take a deep breath, let go, and enjoy the moment.

AURORA marks the third John Monkman & Pete Tong collaboration and follows ‘PHØENIX’, released on German label Kompakt, and their first effort The Bumps which was remixed by none other than legendary ambient dance pioneer, Moby. With support from Disclosure favorite Jonas Rathsman and continued BBC Radio 1 airplay, ‘PHØENIX‘ reached the Beatport Top 10 and secured its rightful place as one of 2015’s Ibiza hits.

Propelling to notoriety last year, Monkman has already carved a steady reputation amongst peers including Jonas Rathsman, Skream and Kidnap Kid to name but a few. 2015 was by all accounts a prolific twelve months for Monkman with the release of his widely acclaimed remix of Solomon Grey’s Twilight, which hit the top spot on the Beatport charts, residing at the no. 1 spot for 2 weeks, whilst gaining the attention and spins from Pete Tong, SKREAM and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1.

2016 has been another fruitful year for Monkman, with standout performances at both Miami Music conference and SXMmusic festival, the launch of his new imprint Beesemyer and the first release on the label, one if his own cuts, ‘K I S O M M A‘.

It’s sure to say 2016 is set to be another standout year for this hotly-tipped up-comer.
