Win A Days Music Production Training at CM SOUNDS via #UVComps
Urban Vault have hooked up once again with our friends at CM Sounds (Community Music) to let inspiring rappers, singers, vocalists and producers have the chance to win a days music production training with a professional tutor at their base in Whitechapel. There are 13 places up for grabs at Community Music’s Studios, 5 minutes from Brick Lane.
CM Sounds is the longest running community music company in the UK and has been working with young musicians from a variety of backgrounds since 1983. CM have turned out well known talent over the years, including Tom Barnes of production team TMS (Little Mix, Olly Murs, James Arthur), female rapper Baby Blue, Steve ‘Chandrasonic’ Savale of Asian Dub Foundation, and beat-boxer Intensi-T.
CM Sounds are offering the unique opportunity for 13 aspiring artists to take part in a free studio day offering production tutoring; learning the basics of how to make music for beginners, or brushing up on skills if you are an already experienced producer.
Winners will have their own workstations and experience a full day in the studio gaining an insight into production and recording with CM’s professional tutors.

The day will take place mid May 2017 (Date to be confirmed) and the lucky winners will have access to…
– Recording live drums with a professional drummer
– Sampling and re-sampling
– Using drums through EQ and effects
– Their own work station to apply the principles and experiment
– Instruction from one of CM’s professional tutors
The course will be taught by one of CM’s professional tutors and the day will run from 10.30am – 4.30pm.
Each winner will have their own work station to apply the principles and experiment…
And will be able to take the material away to work on it back at your own HQ.
Winners must be available to take part on the days course in mid May 2017 (Date to be confirmed) and be able to travel to venue at their own expense.
