One month since the release of his highly anticipated debut EL CLASICO, Fekky shares the new video for CAPPIN’ ON THE NET
The visual provides a screenshot into the life of Fekky, portraying both sides of the coin – class, and street. ‘Cappin On The Net’ takes its seat as one for the Hip Hop heads on the album, the gentle ebb and flow indicative of his sonic diversity as an artist.
A creative and cohesive body of work comprised of 18 original tracks, ‘El Clasico‘ both satisfies and transcends the label ‘grime’ whilst showcasing Fekky’s lyrical dexterity and trademark flow. Its release has received support from a wide range of media including The Observer, The Quietus, Complex, Noisey, i-D, DJ Mag, Notion, Music Week, CLASH, The Evening Standard, Viper, and PAUSE.
A celebrated name in the UK rap scene, Fekky’s previous singles including ‘Mad Ting Sad Ting’, ‘Way Too Much’ featuring Skepta and ‘Sittin Here’ featuring Dizzee Rascal, have reached now iconic status. As ‘El Clasico’ continues to make an impact and ride this upwards trajectory, key tracks including ‘Cappin On The Net’, ‘Avirex‘ featuring Neutrino and Chip and ‘Call Me Again‘ featuring Ghetts are expected to do the same.
“’Cappin On The Net’ basically means talking rubbish on the internet. This track is about what I see in today’s world as a result of the huge rise and influence of social media. I feel like everyone’s got something to say, often too much, so ‘Cappin on the Net’ is my way of cutting through the noise and saying my piece” – Fekky.
