Ann Arbor, Michigan emcee ObiE Iyoha recently dropped the visual for his track, ANIME & CHILL, produced by Erik Rico
Ann Arbor, Michigan’s ObiE Iyoha, known as a former member of the iconoclastic Hip Hop collective The Black Opera, is now a solo artist whose debut album ‘Midnight Run’ dropped last year. Aside from emceeing, Iyoha is also a visual artist who designs all of his own graphics, drawing inspiration from anime films like ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ and ‘Death Note’.
With a premier on MASS APPEAL, Obie Iyoha now brings you the video for ‘Anime & Chill’. The visuals follow the Nigerian-American artist through his hometown as he drops bars over an Erik Rico production.
“I really just wanted to give the people an honest representation of myself,” says ObiE. “I’ve been working really hard on new music and I’m super excited to share it with you guys, but first I wanted you to get to know me a little more. I’m from Ann Arbor, Michigan. My parents are both Nigerian so soccer is a huge part of my life (peep the jersey). I love anime, I’m goofy and I really love cheese pizza. So I thought why not have my introduction showcase these things? I hope you enjoy it as much as I do”.
