South East London emcee/producer Eight9FLY recently dropped his new track, BEST LIFE
Following the successful reception of ‘SubZero’, the second single off of his latest EP, ‘GO TIME‘ premiered by ThePitLDN, South-East London based rapper and producer Eight9fly has released his new single ‘Best Life’.
Eight9FLY explains, “Where I’m from, being born with a silver spoon was a rarity. I grew up in New Cross, which was labeled as ‘ghetto’ at the time and living in South East London exposes you to a certain way of life that involves violence and crime but despite that, it was a valuable time where great moments and stories were created through music… and that’s what the song is about, living your best life regardless of your situation or environment”.
His lyrical content and flows have navigated him to a propitious altitude within the UK music scene, situating him in an identifiable position, allowing him to exhibit his talents to his fans and listeners alike.
As well as receiving mainstream radio play via BBC Radio 1Xtra and Kiss FM, Eight9FLY has also gained recognition from key editorials such as SBTV, GRM Daily, Link Up TV and FLAVA TV. His biggest influences are Michael Jackson, Usher, Dizzee Rascal, Drake, P Money, Boys II Men and Jay-Z, to name a few.
Over the course of his career, Eight9FLY has collaborated with some of the nation’s most acclaimed acts such as P Money, Lady Leshurr, Paigey Cakey, J Warner, Starboy Nathan and, most recently, Moelogo.
Finding inspiration in anything from classic R&B and Hip Hop to Grime, Eight9FLY consistently showcases both his versatility and ability as an artist in finessing these varied musical styles.
He is currently working on more music, which will be hitting the airwaves all through 2018, including a selection of special audio and visual releases and an album project.
