South Central, Los Angeles rapper SpiffyUNO has just dropped a creative new video, for his song TRUST taken off his 2017 LP release, SOUTH CENTRAL
Featuring Watts own Bad Lucc, the video for ‘Trust’ was inspired by a Philadelphia street fight that turned into a viral message for non-violence earlier this year when a good Samaritan intervened.
The two Southern Cali spitters each take turns tackling issues affecting the black community and preach a message of positivity and growth. The song and video call for unity and present the numerous positive possibilities it would bring to underserved areas. With neither artist afraid of speaking their mind, they also bring light to the injustices, pain, and racism America’s systemic oppression has brought on inner cities for countless years.
Much like the viral video, it was inspired by, ‘Trust’ aims to use Hip Hop to bring focus to the real issues that come from violence and society’s glamorization and obsession with it. You can watch the video for ‘Trust’ below, along with the original Philly street video.
