UK Rap’s very own ninja warrior, Shao Dow, is about to smash the ITV assault course on, NINJA WARRIOR UK as he takes to our screens on the 28th of April
Shao Dow has always been synonymous with various martial arts and has often used it within visuals and references for his music, he even recently sparked the interest of Dizzee Rascal thanks to his online Nunchuku practice sessions, so his Ninja Warrior UK experience is bound to be an entertaining one.
Airing this Saturday 28th April he is set to take on the toughest obstacle course on TV which is hosted by Rochelle Humes, Ben Shephard, and Chris ‘Kammy’ Kamara for series four and saw Marvin Humes go up against Towie star Lydia Bright in the first episode, and now it’s ShaoDow’s turn to show them what he’s made of.
Crowned as AIM’s ‘Hardest Working Artist’ in 2017, Shao Dow coincides with his TV appearance with the release of his latest single ‘Kaio Ken’, produced by Tomek Zyl. He’s been hailed for his unrelenting application to his craft from rap purveyors such as DJ Semtex. His debut on Charlie Sloth’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show ‘Fire in the Booth‘ was billed as,
“Incredible”,
by GRM Daily who also described Shao Dow’s freestyle as,
“Something different in a congested scene and definitely refreshing”.
Whilst on stage he has opened for legends like Stormzy, Skepta, Tech N9ne, Wiley, and Akala, appeared at Reading and Leeds festivals, and performed across Europe, South America, and Asia. He’s sold over 25,000 copies of his previous albums and achieved a hit in the Spotify UK Viral Top 50 chart with previous single ‘DropKickMan,’ all without a label. He has also toured the UK and Europe has even published his own manga book and was recently selected as one of four to perform for House of Van’s ‘Give a Gig’ initiative in March alongside BBK’s Frisco, Nadia Rose and Tiggs Da Author.

Leading us on to the fact that Shao Dow is also about to embark on the aptly named ‘Hard Work And Nunchucks’ tour alongside the release of ‘Kaio-Ken’. Stopping off in London, Derby, and Norwich, the tour is set to be energetic, entertaining, and memorable. If you can’t make it to the show, then you can at least witness his physical capabilities on the ultimate stage of ITV’s Ninja Warrior UK series, which launched on the 14th of April, with Shao Dow’s own appearance on the 28th of April.
