Australia’s Yvng Jalapeño brings big cinematic soundscapes to Dim Mak’s New Noise imprint with his spicy trap heater, ODI
With a flavorful group of musical influences, ranging from Bob Marley to RL Grime, Yvng Jalapeño has been crafting exciting tracks that have garnered him attention from huge names in the scene. His single ‘M Å R T Y‘ saw BBC Radio 1 spins from A-Trak and Baauer, as well as additional support from The Chainsmokers and Flosstradamus.
Yvng Jalapeño has also crafted official remixes for The Chainsmokers ‘Sick Boy‘ and Dillon Francis ‘Say Less‘, and the latter was supported by Dillon himself on an ‘Insomniac Night Owl’ Radio mix. Back home in Australia, he comes heavily backed by Triple J Unearthed and has performed at Splendour in the Grass and Listen Out, as well played huge support sets for Marshmello, Getter, and Hermitude.
With new music in the works, Yvng Jalapeño is set to take his fiery sounds around the globe.
New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting-edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. Launched in 2010, New Noise got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and crew. By 2015, the platform evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is a copyright free model that allows the budding community of Twitch gamer’s and amateur YouTube content creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams sans purchase or fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.
