Italian Leftfield Hip Hop artist woxow recently released his latest track CHAOS, featuring Akil (Jurassic 5), Ken Boothe and BluRum13, taken off his new album ALCAZAR due out the 22nd of June

Rising leftfield Hip Hop artist Woxow is pleased to announce details of a brand new album ‘Alcazar’ due this summer and features a clutch of established and new artists like the legendary Ken Boothe, Akil (Jurassic 5), BluRum13, Hannah Williams (Record Kicks), Blacc El, Lostpoet, Pugs Atomz and Stimulus. The Italian producer pre-empts the release with the socially conscious track ‘Chaos’.

He details the album: “Alcazar is a concept mini-album. It’s a medium to describe a ‘malaise’ about the way the world is ruled. Highlighting topics like consumerism, modern slavery, capitalism, corporations control, materialism, globalization, revolution, and self-consciousness. Nothing new, but nothing we can forget”.

woxow is one of the aliases of Theo Fulcheri, a music lover, record collector, DJ, promoter, tour manager and booker. He was the founder of a reggae Sound System called CasaBrasa and launched the legendary ‘Bornasco Reggae Festival’ (2004-2009) which was established as one of the top up-and-coming festival in Italy featuring Italian and foreign artists, it hosted Alton Ellis for one of his very last gigs in 2007. Some of the artists hosted at Bornasco include Derrick Morgan, Mad Professor, Trojan Sound, Dub Pistols, Dub Incorporation, Zion Train, Bitty McLean, Million Stylez, Africa Unite, just to name a few.

Upon moving to London, he organized parties in East London which featured, among the others, the famous Trojan Sound System and a very unique dub set from the minimal techno duo Swayzak.

After he came back to Italy in 2010 he joined ‘The Sweet Life Society’ and worked with them for 5 years as a DJ, booker, tour manager and during the last year as a producer, signing 2 tracks on the ‘Antique Beats’ album (‘Loving the unexpected’ and ‘Oh oh oh’ featuring Too Many T’s). The project was signed by Warner Music in 2014 and toured all around Europe (Glastonbury, Bestival, Fusion, BoomTown, Lowlands and more) and the United States for a very special 30 days tour.

‘Alcazar’ is a culmination of 20 years of serious digging and intense listening and will be released on his own record label ‘Little Beat More’.
