Los Angeles based Kendoll & VNSSA arrive on Dim Mak, New Noise with their track ANXIETY
Budding House music DJ/producers Kendoll and VNSSA attract attention ‘off the rip’ on their New Noise debut ‘Anxiety’. With a sly vocal that’s anything but anxious, the duo creates a chunky, bass-heavy house/breakbeat bomb.
Kendoll’s music pushes the boundaries of bassline house with a heavy influence of UK grooves. She started her career off in Seattle, Washington at the age of 17 and took the whole city by storm. After to relocating to LA and graduating from music production school Icon Collective, Kendoll started touring and smashing dance floors nationwide. This year she dropped several releases, including her ‘Rabbit Hole’ EP on Pyscho Disco! and single ‘Stop Calling Me’ on Night Bass Records’ Freshmen Vol. 1 compilation. With recent appearances at Life Is Beautiful festival and FreakNight in Seattle, Kendoll is quickly becoming one to watch.
Working alongside Kendoll on ‘Anxiety’ is budding producer VNSSA, who favours the darker, grittier spectrum of dance music. Earlier this year, VNSSA released her debut single ‘Do You Wanna Play’, in collaboration with Fantom Freq. She followed it up with the Creatures EP alongside BOT and worked with Eric Mark under the moniker The Sunday Club to release an EP titled ‘Daddy Like’. On the live end, VNSSA captivated audiences throughout 2018, opening for the likes of Chris Lake, Claptone, Fisher, and Walker & Royce. Additionally, this year she performed on the Mojave Stage at Coachella, Dirtybird Campout and closes out the year sharing a bill with Sasha, Skream, Justin Jay and several others at Minimal Effort: NYE in Los Angeles.
New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting-edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. Launched in 2010, New Noise got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and crew. By 2015, the platform evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles. New Noise’s current incarnation is a copyright free model that allows the budding community of Twitch gamer’s and amateur YouTube content creators to use New Noise music in their videos and live streams sans purchase or fees, all in exchange for linking back to the artists and their music.
