Ghanaian-born/London based recording artist Eugy returns with his first track of 2019 LOLO, produced by Spanker
After almost 60M streams of his global smash ‘Dance For Me’ featuring Mr Eazi, as well as two MOBO Awards nominations, Eugy drops his seductive new track ‘LoLo’ via Disturbing London.
The Ghana-born, London-based artist’s latest release marks the start of a slew of new material for the year.
With slick visuals directed by Meji (Skepta and Wizkid’s ‘Bad Energy’), ‘LoLo’, produced by Spanker, is a sleek, guitar-flecked gem that lilts and heats in equal measure. Creating a tropical foundation for Eugy’s unmistakable vocal style, it’s a clear statement of intent from an artist working with some of the hottest talents in the country including Wavy The Creator.
Eugy moved from London to Ghana as a child; the soundtrack to his early years was highlife stars like Daddy Lumba and Koko Antwi, as well as the gospel sounds from his father’s church, where he and his siblings first discovered their flair for music. His London grounding would also mean that UK garage was vital to him. and as garage evolved into grime, Eugy became an emcee in the lineage of So Solid Crew, Kano, D Double E, Dizzee Rascal, and Wiley, mixing raps with his native Twi.
Things would continue to heat up when Eugy joined forces with Mr Eazi on ‘Dance For Me’. They knew they had something special and he hoped it would be his first track to hit a million streams. Almost 60M streams later, it’s taken on a life of its own, establishing Eugy firmly as a main figure in the scene.
With new music of this caliber, it’s clear that Eugy is not playing games in 2019. Get ready to see a lot more from this talented rising star.
