South London, UK based trio The Manor are back with their latest track EX GIRL, produced by Bromley based Yanaku

Following their biggest headline date yet at The Roundhouse and supporting The Streets at their iconic recent London dates, South London’s finest emcee trio now drop their first release of the year with ‘Ex Girl‘, the first taster of their upcoming EP.

With a wonky, bitty intro instrumental that drops into a wonderfully emotive melody with enough snap to keep it bubbling, this is a low-key, highly personal gem that will continue the intrigue and interest around the rising stars as they show their repertoire for more conscious hits.

Speaking on the track, the band state, “This song’s about every stage of a breakup, from the first signs of trouble right through to realising you might’ve fucked up and want your missus back. A sugarcoated love story without a happy ending but a familiar one nonetheless”.

Beginning as three friends from Beckenham, south London scheming on their fag break during college, emcees Danny Graft, Scotty Stacks, and Jonny Dutch started fusing UKG with elements of grime and rap to a fierce sense of local pride and a love of their community.  Starting to put on shows, essentially parties for themselves and their mates, they started building a serious reputation; Inner-city hustle mixed with local love has swiftly caught the attention of the increasingly heavyweight tastemakers including NOISEY, SHORTLIST, RED BULL, CLASH, and BBC 1Xtra as well as The Streets’ founder Mike Skinner who personally secured them as main support for their UK tour.
