South London based, rising female Grime emcee Cassie Rytz recently dropped her high-energy new track/visual SHELL

Cassie Rytz seamless, high-octane flow is complimented by the mosh pit-inducing grime beat that underpins ‘Shell’. The GIRLS Of GRIME members commanding, rapid-fire delivery displays a maturity and confidence far beyond her years. The track is accompanied by a similarly rousing video, demonstrating Cassie’s powerful presence in action. The visuals are a perfect pairing for the 18-year-old’s hard-hitting lyrics.

Hailing from Balham in southwest London, Cassie incorporates a blend of grime, bashment, and afro-swing to create her sound. Starting out with Instagram freestyles in her school uniform, it wasn’t long before she attracted the attention of noteworthy London radio stations Reprezent Radio and Rinse FM, BBC 1Xtra sessions with the legendary Sir Spyro soon followed as did speaking in Parliament on the topic of youth support in local communities.

Her potential has since caught the attention of BBC3, who included both her and ‘Shell’ in their six-part reality show ‘Galdem Sugar’. A joint commission between BBC Three and BBC Sounds, the series intends to,

“Shed light on the underrepresented female voices in the male-dominated music industry”.
