Your Nan’s favorite rapper, BiG HEATH is back with his latest track/visual PABLO, produced by Hank Solo
‘Pablo’ is the third track taken off BiG HEATH’s forthcoming EP and follow up to his critically acclaimed recent singles ‘Bouncy‘ and ‘BiGGY‘. Hitting hard from the intro ‘Pablo’ demonstrates more of BiG HEATH’s signature bold beats and fiery lyrics, to an especially vibey backdrop. Despite the playful production, it is clear BiG HEATH is not here to play around with this release.
Speaking on the track himself, “Pablo was made with legendary producer Hank Solo in our first session together in London. I said I wanted something that could be played in a club with mad energy, whilst also still having a story behind it. I went on to finish the track in Hank’s home of Helsinki. The song is all about feeling powerful and unstoppable I.e. ‘Pablo’ when I am being myself Sticking To My Plan”.
A rapper hailing not from an inner city, but rather the quiet suburbs of Cambridge, BiG HEATH is not only comfortable with being different, he embraces it, delivering rhymes that veer from the well-trodden ground of the ‘Road’. His realness and sensitivity is clear to see within the introspective lyrical content, tackling vulnerability with surprising candor.
Having first started rapping at the age of 10, after discovering it helped overcome his stutter – BiG HEATH got his first break in 2017 when he was booked for notable support slots with Nas and Freddie Gibbs. It was his live performance at Nas’ show in Liverpool that caught the attention of DJ Semtex, and by 2018 critics earmarked him as the
“Next One Up”,
praising him for showcasing a different side to the UK Rap scene.
Having made serious waves with his debut release ‘Lonely’ EP which saw the likes of BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, Link Up TV and GRM Daily put their weight behind him, 2018 also saw BiG HEATH open the main stage at Wireless, perform on the Radio 1Xtra stage at Reading & Leeds Festival, ink a deal with the second biggest Major Label Polydor Records, and hunker down in the studio with Show N Prove (J Hus, Stefflon Don, Giggs), Ishi (Usher, Ne-Yo, Wretch 32), Abaz (Tory Lanez, T-Pain, Gucci Maine).
There is no doubt that BiG HEATH is set to erupt very soon. Having caught the attention of Radio pioneers and tastemakers Mista Jam, Charlie Sloth and Tim Westwood, who personally invited BiG HEATH on to his YouTube Channel for one of his famous Westwood Crib Session’s. The session blew up on social media accumulating just shy of a million views and BiG HEATH’s social media following doubling in less than 48 hours!
There is no denying the speed of BiG HEATH’s rise and it is only set to get faster.
