German/Jamaican-Canadian duo Ricky Dietz recently dropped the visual to their latest track FLEX PON YOU

Following their critically-acclaimed recent release ‘Lemonade Drip‘, picking up attention from the likes of WONDERLAND and MTV, Ricky Dietz (Pierre Baigorry and Jamaican-Canadian R&B singer Sway Clarke) unleash their second offering of 2019, ‘Flex Pon You’. Mixing a Shaku rhythm, the West African influence is strong on this one, with Sway’s unmistakably spiky wordplay it creates something cool and immersive.

Speaking on the track, Ricky state, “For us, this is our ideal mashup of Lagos’ Shaku Rhythms and our Dark Berlin sample culture”.

A collaborative production with upcoming Lagos’ beatmaker Cracker Mallo, this is another injection of international Berlin cool that will continue to cement their reputations as innovative, baller artisans.

Sway, a hit songwriter for the likes of John Legend and Tinie Tempah joined forces with Pierre, already a successful singer in Germany to create a confluence of innately funky, danceable sounds.

The product of the duo’s combined influences is the kind of tongue-in-cheek cool that’s becoming more apparent with each subsequent release. Polished, insane and undoubtedly talented, Ricky Dietz have gone from hyper-local to transnational, and with ‘Flex Pon You’ set to continue to underline their credentials once more, it’ll also have you on the dancefloor, make no mistake.
