Bay Area-based emcee Owl Green recently dropped his latest three-track EP, TUESDAY
Rising up his way from the Bay Area music scene, Christopher Catalano newly known as Owl Green was brought up with an enriched ear for Rock n Roll and Hip Hop. Mastering the trumpet and guitar at a young age, he furthered his musical interests when he started rapping in high school and temporarily shifted his focus to the business side of music. Driven by a passion for creating, Owl Green hopes to reach fans with stories that he has yet to tell.
While deepening his love for music, Owl Green has spent more than a decade perfecting his writing/rapping and even vocally trained for two years in order to devote his all to his craft. Pulling inspiration from musical icons like Andre 3000, Nas, Anderson .Paak and Frank Ocean, the Hip Hop maven echoes his idols through his music. Deeply rooted with a west coast vibe and self-described as
“Lo-Fi vibe with swing and swagger”,
Owl Green dedicates his sound to the coastal region that raised him. Aiming to bring the party rap music that once took over the Bay Area, he hopes to deliver music that will keep people chanting in stadiums to come.
Owl Green offers a wholehearted exposè on his latest three-track EP, ‘Tuesday’. Enveloping translucent lyrics and laid-back production, the Bay Area rapper documents everything from practicing consciousness to residing in his new home of Los Angeles on ‘Spend That’. He expresses sincerity on ‘I Swear’ with lyrics like,
“Grateful for another one, let’s make this one a year”,
and details his undying drive to rise to the top on the sunny, bass-driven ‘Blah, Blah, Blah’. An honest depiction of his current life path, Owl Green reveals the defining quality of a true artist, his authentic self.
