UK based recording artist NAHLI recently dropped the visual to her track MAMA’S BOY, taken off her debut EP, THERAPY [SIDE A], via ALKMY Records, the new label from pioneer Grime producer DaVinChe

‘Mama’s Boy’ is the latest single taken from NAHLI’s debut EP, ‘Therapy [Side A]’. Dealing in distinctly tangible themes of toxic love, ‘Therapy [Side A]’ provides a detailed account of anguish and heartbreak.

On ‘Mama’s Boy’ NAHLI brushes off any unwelcome memories of past love affairs by unloading some pent up, uncensored emotion. The sleek harmony between the distorted synths and string section eventually crescendos, further symbolizing a resounding sense of acceptance in finality.

“It’s so hard trying to be in a relationship with a man who’s babied by his mum. I felt like his family just didn’t get me at all. His mum would say that I wasn’t doing enough for her son, which he would then agree with. I felt outnumbered and like I wasn’t enough”.
