Rising New Jersey-based recording artist Yvng Scuba reinvents an R&B classic with his new track SWEET BABY off his forthcoming THE DIVE EP
The rapper known for his breakout track ‘Scrapin Glass‘ with Coi Leray flips Tyrese Gibson’s 1998 smash ‘Sweet Lady’ into a swaggering rap tune. ‘Sweet Baby’ oozes the same sex appeal as its predecessor. Scuba is enticing with his hopes of finding a new ‘bust it baby’ over the slick soundscape. Its raw, uncut feel is inspired by New Jersey’s nightlife scene. Scuba jokingly admits,
“I could see any female exotic dancer appreciating this song”.
“This is the manuscript that teaches fellas how to move in clubs when looking for a baddie”.
The single sets the tone for ‘The Dive’ EP which is scheduled to be released later this year.
Scuba adds, “All my ladies looking for the vibes, The Dive is what you’ll need”.
His lyrics are as rollicking as early T-Pain and as sensual as The-Dream. The lush, hard-hitting bassline rattles while Scuba pleas to his object of desire. He raps,
“Sweet lady would you be my bus it baby”
over auto-tuned enhanced vocals.
‘This song is one of many vibes exploring New Jersey’s raw and uncut nightlife scene”, says Scuba.
