Newham, London based emcee D Double E is back with his new track/visual TELL ME A TING, featuring Grime legend Kano

One of the UK’s most celebrated and genre-defining artists D Double E unveils a no messing, raw, and energetic new single ‘Tell Me A Ting featuring Kano, produced by Nat Powers. The first time the two have appeared on a track together since Kano’s 2019 ‘Class of Deja’, this single drops alongside a high octane video shot in East London featuring both artists.

Alongside this new track, Double announces the forthcoming release of ‘D.O.N.’ An acronym for Double or Nothing, this highly anticipated 12-track follow up to his 2018 debut solo album Jackuum (over 10M streams to date) will feature the likes of Giggs, Ms Banks, Ghetts and more as well as carrying Double’s first credits as a producer. Invigorated, daring, and always thrilling, this project will tread on new sonic ground, further cementing his legacy and proving his ascent as a solo act.

An incredibly exciting time for this legendary artist, since the release of ‘Jackuum’, D Double E has stayed busy and continued to surprise. From collaborations with Shy FX, Swindle, Kenny Allstar, Unknown T and Ghetts (D Double E performed ‘Where Do We Come From’ for his ‘COLORS‘ debut in 2019 and the track will feature on ‘D.O.N.’ ) and more, most notably last year he wrote the original track for the viral and now iconic IKEA Christmas Advert, a truly unexpected, uncompromising and brilliant collaboration that was heralded by fans and media alike as proof that grime was,

“Here to stay”.

Throughout his career D Double E has become one of grime’s most respected figures shelling down radio sets, raves, and having countless solo hits. Starting off in Jungle and UK Garage, he began life in grime as a member of the N.A.S.T.Y. Crew alongside his contemporaries including Ghetts, Kano, and Jammer before founding the Newham Generals with Footsie. Earlier solo releases and much-loved classics including ‘Street Fighter Riddim’, ‘Woo Riddim’ and ‘Bluku, Bluku’ have led the legendary artist to receive consistent praise and support from the likes of RA, The Guardian, FADER, i-D, CRACK, Noisey, HYPEBEAST, Highsnobiety, FACT, Complex and many more.

Having released on labels including Dirtee Stank and DICE and collaborated with artists both new and old including Wiley, Dizzee Rascal, Gorgon City, JD Reid, Breakage, Skepta, The Bug, Rustie, and Swindle, D Double E has been there from the start and is now paving the way for himself on Bluku Music. ‘Jackuum’ was a landmark release for the scene, and ‘D.O.N.’ promises to do the same and more.
