North West London based emcee and creative Casscade drops the visual to his recent track CRAZY SCENES, featuring South London based recording artist Raj Forever, produced by Saint Cardona

Casscade has just dropped these striking new visuals on GRM Daily’s YouTube, teaming up with director Lukey who has delivered some crazy scenes to match the track. ‘Crazy Scenes‘ which dropped late 2020 sees Casscade collab with the hotly tipped artist/producer Raj Forever and prolific American producer Saint Cardona (whose credits include, Young M.A, Octavian, Fivio Foreign, and Mariah Angelica).

On release ‘Crazy Scenes’ was premiered by DJ Semtex on Capital Xtra and was also championed by GRM Daily, including it in their Under The Radar playlist. With its accessible drill-flavoured beat, mixed with Casscade’s playful bars and melodic approach, there is something genuinely fresh about the track, as Raj Forever punctuates things with a memorable chorus hook, nailing down its radio-friendly vibe and positive message. Lyrically, Casscade takes the commonly used phrase ‘Crazy Scenes’ as inspiration to build the track around an aspirational message. Looking back at the harsh environments both artists grew up in, to where they are now Casscade explains,

“The ‘I still hear the screams part’ in Raj’s hook just signifies that although we may not particularly be in bad situations anymore, they’ve left their scars. Nobody is perfect and I think it’s always good to remember where you came from”.

‘Crazy Scenes’ follows Casscade’s previous single ‘Hurry Up & Buy’ which features the Gold-selling German artist Joshi Mizu. Released early this year it streamed 50K times in 8 weeks on Spotify and was added to the ‘Auf Level’ playlist (the No.1 German Hip Hop playlist on Amazon Music) with further media support coming from Backspin Mag, Mixtape Madness, SBTV, and Noctis Magazine. Other tastemaker support for Casscade has come from 4x Grammy-winning producer Anthony Kilhoffer, who played ‘Finesse’ on his Instagram live with DJ Semtex, which led to ‘Finesse’ being featured on Semtex’s ‘5 Tracks You Need To Know’ show on Capital Xtra.

In 2019 he held his second sold-out show at Camden Assembly, was part of a sold-out show at O2 Islington, and tore down the Mastermind x Super malt stage at Notting Hill Carnival. During that time, he also dropped his breakthrough summer anthem ‘Doing Alright’ which was playlisted at Reprezent, Pulse 88, and The Beat FM. His previous singles including the party jam ‘Sexy’ have been championed by media such as Highsnobiety, GRM Daily, Linkup TV, SBTV and more.
