London, UK based Drill artist Remykid recently released his latest Afroswing EP, SWEET AND WAVEY
Remykid is a force to be reckoned with, recently proven with his latest EP, ‘SWEET AND WAVEY’. Channeling tasty beats and sweet melodies, Remykid has invented his own distinctive brand of UK Drill with Afroswing inspired undertones. Having already received widespread critical acclaim, there is no doubt that Remykid is set to dominate the British Drill scene. From the opener ‘Internet’, to groove-inducing ‘Meeting Greeting’, ‘SWEET AND WAVEY’ is consistently sensational, packed with warm vocals and beats reminiscent of Afrobeat royalty J Hus and Burna Boy.
The Nigerian-British singer and rapper has employed his Afro roots to this collection of tracks, featuring new production from collaborators Infared, Theasbeat, Certibeat, and Yoni, along with guest appearances from 9shadez.
From his teenage years, Remykid had been involved in music. From recording in his friend’s bedroom studio perfecting his craft, to 2017 making himself known not only in the UK but worldwide. Released on April 11th, by Family Production, the EP has garnered a huge amount of listens already, with the promotional single ‘Who Dem Help’ peaking on the UK Charts.
