Fast-rising East London based Drill artist Snow returns with his second-ever single CHOP AND WRAP, premiered on GRM Daily
This is the 2nd official release from newcomer Snow since he emerged from Hainault, with his debut single ‘Risky Business’, which saw tastemakers such as DJ Target, Joe Walker, Shortee & MK, Rebecca Judd, Ellie Prohan, Rob Bruce, and more all support the track. It’s becoming more and more clear that he has a lot more cards to play. ‘Chop And Wrap’ is the next track from the ferocious and talented Drill artist Snow who has burst onto the scene out of nowhere and is going to be the name on everyone’s lips soon.
The East London artist and his new approach to the UK Rap scene, has already made inroads towards his impending triumphs. His previous track came out just over a month ago and is already sitting at 124,000 views on YouTube. Starting from the bottom up, Snow’s manager, who discovered him late last year wanted to change his situation and his future after recognising his talent in music.
Considering he was found from his pure lyrical talent and delivery; it is no surprise that Snow has brought a strong performance. Painting a precise picture with his lyrics really brings the track to life which the video maximises even more. A solid but piercing chorus conveys a distinct area of Snow’s songwriting talent. In addition, sonically, the track is very dynamic. The moody but harmonically rich melodies sit effectively on the track, with the drums intertwining with Snow’s bars.
Snow gives us another insight into his past life, relaying this with his lyrics and visuals which both support his narrative. Snow does this with absolutely no filter. The music video takes a voyeuristic approach, following Snow around multiple locations carrying out risky business through the week. With a clear storyline mixed in with his convincing presentation of the track, as he addresses the camera throughout the visual.
Winding up in the wrong places in his past, Snow is now right where he needs to be. Narrating his past to better his future. Expect lots more from this rare individual as he continues to chase his dream this year.
