London, UK based record label BPSOCA Music recently released their latest five-track SOVEREIGN RIDDIM EP

Featuring the reigning UK Queens of Soca, ‘Sovereign Riddim‘ is a five-track all-female EP released by a new UK independent record label, BPSOCA Music. This fiery EP features vocals from Alison Hinds, Ms. Desire, SunDivas, Chenelle Andrew, with all tracks written by Darryl Gervais from Trinidad. The EP was produced by Kyle Phillips, the lead producer of BadJohn Republic, who has created hits such as ‘Stage Gone Bad’ and ‘Waiting On The Stage’.

Speaking of the exciting project, record label CEO Gareth Sinnerine said,

“I was inspired to release this EP as the genre of Soca is male-dominated although there are many top-class female artists who are yet to be heard internationally. Not only are we trying to elevate Soca and other genres of Caribbean music in the UK, but also UK-Caribbean female artists as well”.

With the EP name ‘Sovereign Riddim’ reflecting the status of these powerful featured women, each track on this EP is worthy of the title summer anthem, and we can’t wait to see what comes next for this exciting label and talented artists.

BPSOCA Music is a new UK independent record label that focuses on finding and working with up-and-coming talent with Caribbean music influences. The London-based label works closely with homegrown and international talent enabling BPSOCA Music to offer new artists a comprehensive perspective whilst reducing disparities between Caribbean music and the mainstream.
