Cologne, Germany based DJ/producer Basstian teams up with China-based Ukrainian DJ/producer MERYKO to craftily blend infectious vocals, deep Tech sounds and grooving House beats on their Dim Mak, New Noise debut BURNIN’ UP

Basstian enlists MERYKO, who currently resides in China, for this international union, their first-ever collaboration. Delivering fresh, new melodies, this club anthem remains expertly laid, setting New Noise ablaze with intoxicating vocals and steadfast beats. ‘Burnin’ Up‘ bursts with energy, keeping the night young and levels high.

Whilst fresh to New Noise, these two producers are not newcomers to the EDM industry. Making a name for himself, Basstian’s 2020 has seen his hits charting repeatedly, with ‘Break It Down’ hitting #1 on Beatport Electro House Top 100. MERYKO, who stormed the DJ industry in 2015, released her first single, ‘HouseZilla’, earlier this year. Now signed to Dim Mak, the budding DJ is gearing up to rock stages all across China.

 Basstian is an Electronic Dance Music DJ & Producer from Cologne, Germany. 2020 marked the turning point of an already remarkable journey for Basstian, after winning a remix competition hosted by Spinnin’ Records, landing an official release of the remix on Spinnin’ Talent Pool. In April 2020, he had his debut release ‘Bomboclap’ on Hardwell’s label Revealed Recordings, which placed him amongst one of the most promising up & coming DJ & Producer to watch out for. ‘Bomboclap; was supported by several renowned DJs, including David Guetta, Hardwell, Showtek, Fedde Le Grand, Thomas Gold, R3HAB, and was even played by Dash Berlin at Tomorrowland: Around the World – The Digital Festival. ‘Bomboclap’ was followed by two more releases on Revealed Recordings, ‘Body Rock’ & ‘Break It Down’. ‘Break It Down’ was charted at #1 on Beatport Electro House Top 100 Charts. Basstian has performed at several music festivals and events, including Island Music Festival 2017 in Kochi, India, where he performed alongside the renowned German DJ MOGUA.

MERYKO is a Ukrainian DJ and producer based in China, quickly established her place among the best DJs in China. Throughout the years MERYKO has been a resident in top clubs around the country. In 2020, she began pursuing her production career and eventually signed on to join the major label, Dim Mak, in 2021. Currently, MERYKO is rocking on stages in Chinese clubs and festivals with many more shows and releases coming up in the nearest future.

New Noise is Dim Mak’s new music discovery imprint that focuses on cutting-edge sounds from burgeoning artists across the genre spectrum. Launched in 2010, New Noise got its start as a compilation series highlighting fresh faces handpicked by Steve Aoki and crew. By 2015, the platform evolved into a bi-weekly, free-download model based on singles.
