London based Platinum album selling recording artist Professor Green drops his latest track/lyric video DANCE LIKE A TORY
The vast majority of the country went through the same experiences in lockdown but things were very different over at 10 Downing Street, where dozens of Tory politicians and their lackeys wheeled in suitcases overflowing with booze and partied….. But that’s ok… it was a work event. Now Boris Johnson and pals are the targets of Professor Green’s new single ‘Dance Like A Tory’.
‘Dance Like A Tory’ is Professor Green’s manifesto in song, a playful prod at the privileged politicians who believed that they’re too important to follow the very rules that they made. Propelled by the kind of hook that takes just one listen to stick firmly in your consciousness
“Ain’t a party, it’s a work event… Ain’t a rave, it’s a work event!”,
it’s full of the Professor’s razor-sharp rhymes,
“Nobody cared about care homes, they should’ve all been in their homes / Instead they were all round Boris, all getting down with their Doris”.
Professor Green teased the song on socials a few days ago, generating 45,000 views on Instagram as well as the attention of Charlie Sloth and Example.
Professor Green says,
“Happy belated Birthday, Boris”
Professor Green, born Stephen Paul Manderson, who hails from Hackney, rose to fame in 2007 after being noticed by Mike Skinner (The Streets). Green subsequently signed to Virgin in 2010 and has released three studio albums to date with a combined 3.5 million sales in the UK, ‘Alive Till I’m Dead’ (#2 UK album charts), ‘At Your Inconvenience’ (#3 UK album charts), and ‘Growing Up In Public’ (#12 UK album charts).
In addition to his acclaimed music career, Green has been outspoken on mental health issues and is a patron of the suicide prevention charity CALM. Subsequently Green has gone on to present documentaries for the BBC surrounding mental health, as well as other important issues.
