Sacramento-based emcee Chuuwee recently released his new sixteen-track album DIO.
Sacramento rapper Chuuwee released his new album titled ‘Dio.‘. As evidenced by the first leaks ‘Immortal‘, ‘No Worries‘, and ‘MoonShine‘, the project is an amalgamation of introspective lyricism, moments of melodicism, and woozy-synth-inflected beats.
Guest features on the album include Isaac Zale, Sofila, and Unkle Pill. The production is handled mainly by Money Montage, Zeon, and Rich ICY, and with beats from JR & PH7, Shae Money, Stones Neighbor, Coopatroop, and BROSS.
By the age of 21, Chuuwee’s songwriting developed a style in any and every genre of Hip Hop/Rap and even bending the elements of Punk Rock and R&B into his current musical identity. Chuuwee has established a strong underground presence and was regularly featured on popular Hip Hop blogs and websites, such as 2DopeBoyz, HipHopDX, DJBooth, AllHipHop, Complex Magazine, and others. He was interviewed by Forbes at SXSW ’12 as a rising artist. As of 2022, Chuuwee has close to 130 million total streams and more than half a million monthly listeners on Spotify only.
Now aged 32, Chuuwee has been a relevant independent musical figure for over 10 years. With a discography of over 30 albums and mixtapes, Chuuwee is an underground force to be reckoned with.
