London, UK-based Icy Chill recently released his new ten-track album ROCK OUT THE TRUTH

After a decade since his previous album, Hip Hop innovator Icy Chill has returned to share a brand-new skill set and a light-hearted attitude in his album ‘Rock Out The Truth‘. When this rapper found out that he had the means to create his very own home studio in Colombia, his disinterest in returning to music soon shifted into an all-encompassing venture, and he found himself taking on roles as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, writer, producer, sound engineer and mixer to make this album a reality. Icy Chill recalls feeling free to be more experimental than ever as a result of his studio space, giving him a chance to work on a more intense, uncommercial side of himself.

Samples and inspiration take on an extensive range, from theatre-esque David Bowie on the opener ‘Are You Conscious?’, to The Clash, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, John Lennon, and more throughout. Icy Chill even plays with various skits, finding humour in everything from family friends in ‘(Skit) John & Bigfarting’ Part 1 and 2, and going all out hard on the track Freedom Has Won’. With so much to uncover in each track, this album twists and turns in a way never done before by Icy Chill, revealing an undeniably adventurous artist underneath.

Hailing from the UK, Icy Chill discovered his passion for Hip Hop during his teenage years, a period marked by the profound loss of his parents. Hip Hop became a lifeline for him, offering a means to express and navigate the complexities of life. Some of his early creations, such as ‘My Beautiful Señorita’ and ‘Bad Boy Lovin’, provided glimpses into his evolving artistry. These tracks, underscored by his distinctive approach to rap, laid the foundation for the expressive and dynamic artist he would become. Later, a significant milestone in Icy Chill’s career came with the release of the album ‘Encounter at Farpoint,’ a project that solidified his place in the Hip Hop landscape.
