South-Wales-based singer-songwriter The Honest Poet recently released his new track MADE ME STRONGER, ahead of his forthcoming LOVE COMPLEXITY EP

Following the release of his recent single ‘Toxic City‘, The Honest Poet returns with his latest offering ‘Made Me Stronger’. This single serves as the penultimate release before the unveiling of his forthcoming EP ‘Love Complexity’, scheduled to drop on April 05th.

Infusing elements of Hip Hop, Spoken Word, R&B, and Soul with open and honest lyrics, ‘Made Me Stronger’ is a raw and cathartic breakup anthem that delves into themes of lost love, emphasising how such experiences can foster personal strength. Collaborating with fellow Welsh artist and producer MINAS, this soulful R&B ballad has evolved significantly from its original acoustic form, showcasing the evolution of The Honest Poet’s sound.

Of the single, he said,

“Fun fact, ‘Made Me Stronger’ was originally written a few years ago and just resided as an attempt at writing a pop song that could be on the radio potentially. It started as an acoustic vibe until the idea of the EP came around. Minas did what he does best and unlocked its potential. The feel of it is a contrast to the others on the project, so I thought it would be the perfect lighthearted song to end the EP. It’s one of my favourites on the project because we play it a lot in my band “The Honest Poet Society”.

‘Made Me Stronger’ is our second taste of what’s to come from The Honest Poet’s upcoming EP ‘Love Complexity’. Departing thematically from his debut album ‘Letters To My Queen’, which eloquently depicts the love story between The Honest Poet and his fiancée, the new EP delves into the complexities of the darker aspects of love. Touching on subjects from domestic abuse (Toxic City), to the concept of being a side-chick (Suffocated) ‘Love Complexity’ is an arsenal of heartbreakingly authentic stories, that resonate with anyone who has experienced a challenging relationship.
