Calvenzano, Italy-based multifaceted and genre-defying producer Antonio Solombrino releases his debut trip-hop EP, SOME TRIP

Multifaceted musician and producer Antonio Solombrino finally brings us his highly anticipated debut EP ‘Some Trips‘ an ambient trip-hop set of tracks that continue an already successful 2024 for Antonio featuring his debut single ‘Infinity.’ With a recent love for classic Trip-Hop such as artists Kruder and Dorfmeister, Antonio set out to incorporate some of these distinct timbres into his compositions. Imagining big spaces and dramatic, romantic scenes, he began formulating dense sonic soundscapes, ornamented with harmonious melodies that represent the scenes painted in his mind.

“When I compose music I start from a sound, an atmosphere, then I start building. If I can create the magic, the songs seem to grow alone, and in a couple of days, I can finish an idea. I compose at home, no professional studios, and I do the master by myself”.

After letting the EP simmer to perfection and ‘age like a fine wine,’ Antonio decided now was the perfect time to unleash his finest work to date, and ‘Some Trips,’ is just that, certainly not one to miss out on.

Antonio Solombrino entered the realm of music at the tender age of 16, ignited by a serendipitous encounter with a friend named Yuri who introduced him to the power of technology-driven music production. It was that fateful moment when he acquired his first keyboards and immersed himself in the pioneering days of Cubase that defined the beginning of his professional career. From that moment on, his passion for music production knew no bounds. Guided by the mentorship of his close friend Davide Greco, Antonio was enchanted by the composition of his mesmerizing dance track devoid of lyrics but rich in emotion. Their collaboration was clinically significant as they clinched a remarkable second-place finish in a prestigious talent contest thanks to this track. This achievement caught the attention of the renowned DJ Max Baffa of Radio 105, who recognized Antonio’s talent and extended an invitation to refine the track professionally. Despite being amid academic pursuits, Antonio’s dedication to music remained unwavering. His versatile craftsmanship traverses an eclectic selection of genres, from jazz and funk to ambient and pop, seamlessly blending influences from his formative years with contemporary sounds.

Inspired by legends like Pink Floyd and Incognito, his compositions resonate with a timeless quality, evoking a broad spectrum of emotions and memories.
