North West London-based emcee/singer/songwriter Casscade is back with his latest EP/Short Film titled FOUND THE REMOTE LOST THE CONTROL, produced by Chima Chalice

London-based Rapper/songwriter Casscade, The artist, known for his unique blend of Hip Hop, pop rap, and R&B has officially released his EP titled ‘Found The Remote Lost the Control’. This project comes alongside a short film, a poignant exploration of the complexities of finding oneself amidst the chaos of modern life.

At its core, ‘Found The Remote Lost the Control‘ delves into the contradictory nature of self-discovery and loss, portraying them not as opposing forces but as intertwined aspects of personal growth. Through introspective lyrics and evocative melodies, Casscade brings you on a journey of self-awareness, social consciousness, navigating the complexities that arise from being money obsessed and finding acceptance. The EP explores the impact of external influences on identity formation while confronting the relentless pace of modern society.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the project, Casscade shares,

“The past few years have been the most testing of my life. Emerging from a debilitating bout of burnout from my journey as a musician, balancing my day job and family feuds; I found myself deeply affected as someone very close to me faced a life-altering illness.. Standing in the face of adversity, I was forced to confront the pain of it all while the world was still moving; shaping the essence of this EP. It was my therapy. It’s a testament to resilience, an unfiltered view of my experiences and emotions. An unfiltered account of navigating through the depths of hardship and emerging stronger on the other side. It was a journey I had to take”.

The EP’s release is accompanied by a visually captivating dystopian-inspired short film, further immersing audiences in the thematic exploration of the human experience. Set in a world where masks conceal the truth and represent those who have lost themselves, Cascade takes us on a journey. Through arresting visuals and atmospheric storytelling, the film serves as a compelling companion piece to the music, enhancing the immersive nature of the project. The project was Fully produced by Chima Chalice with a heart-strung melancholy piano piece contribution from Elliot Herrington on ‘Tired’.

Other highlights of tracks include: ‘Hurry Up & Buy’ which features the Gold-selling German artist Joshi Mizu. This was added to various official Spotify and Amazon Music playlists with further media support coming from Backspin Magazine, SBTV, GRM Daily, and Noctis Magazine. Previous support from Wonderland Magazine as they premiered Casscade’s single ‘Dance For Me’ which saw Casscade connect with long-time collaborator; German producer OuhBoy (whose credits include; Tyga, Luciano, D-Block Europe).

Other tastemaker support for Casscade has come from DJ Charlie Sloth, DJ Target and 4x Grammy-winning producer Anthony Kilhoffer, who played ‘Finesse’ on his Instagram live with DJ Semtex, which led to ‘Finesse’ being featured on Semtex’s ‘5 Tracks You Need To Know’ show on Capital Xtra. Further support came from DJ Semtex in the form of a radio spin on Casscade’s previous single ‘Zoning’ and the first single from ‘Found The Remote Lost The Control’ titled ‘Real Love’.
