Boston, Massachusetts-based underground legend lyricist Big Dese & producer Confidence have dropped their new track STRIKE BACK, via Below System Records

‘Strike Back‘ is the first single off Big Dese and Confidence’s upcoming album titled ‘Kool Moe Dese’. The album is set to release in a few months and will be available on vinyl and digital stores.

Big Dese hails from the North Shore of Massachusetts. He got his start rapping in the battle circuit in the early 2000s, appearing in numerous battles including the Boston Super Bowl Battle and Scribble Jam. He recently won the Boston Red Bull Battle in 2022. Big Dese was a member of the Boston rap group The Camp and is currently in the rap duo The Dunnas along with Oak Lonetree. Putting out numerous projects both with the group and as a solo artist.

Hailing from Philly, Confidence started DJing with his brother, Technic in the mid 90’s. In 2001, he copped an MPC 2000xl. The man is a master of his craft after putting in countless hours and sacrifices to refine his sound. in 2011, Confidence put out the critically acclaimed album, Rashad & Confidence ‘The Element of Surprise’. Since then, he has put out multiple albums and singles.

“When I was making the beat for ‘Strike Back’, it definitely had that 90’s vibe to it and the cuts just took it to the next level. The energy was there and I knew it would fit Dese nicely” Confidence adds.
