Ghanaian rising star Duca Mandy brings the heat, on her terms with her new EP, MY WAY

Duca Mandy drops her highly anticipated debut EP, ‘My Way’. Known for her distinctive blend of Hip Hop, Brazilian funk, and Afro-funk influences, Duca Mandy is ready to take the music world by storm with an introspective, deeply personal release that reflects her journey of self-discovery and growth.

‘My Way‘ is more than just an EP; it’s a powerful expression of the artist’s soul. Born out of a transformative period in Mandy’s life, the EP explores themes of love, loss, personal struggles, and the pursuit of authenticity. Each track on the EP is a reflection of Mandy’s emotional journey, written during a time of solitude and reflection, with the guidance of her producer Jay Scratch, and support from her label management team.

The EP’s inspiration came after a pivotal moment in the studio when Mandy shared her musical journey with her CEO, Mr. David Arthur. Their encouragement and the profound motivation they gave her led to a transformative experience. Mandy spent time reconnecting with nature in a serene environment, a period that allowed her to tap into deep personal emotions and channel them into her music.

“I have to do things my way,” she says. “This EP is about finding your path and staying true to who you are”.

The title track, ‘My Way’, stands out as a soulful reflection of Mandy’s journey, with lyrics that emphasize the importance of remaining authentic. The collaborative recording process took place at the renowned New Money Recording studio in Dansoman, where the energy in the studio was palpable.
