GIN – C’est La Vie (Album/Audio/iTunes/Spotify)

Los Angeles-based emcee GIN is back with her fifth independent album, C’EST LA VIE

‘C’est La Vie’, which means ‘That’s Life’ in French, is the new album by GIN, which describes her journey of life through music using Amapiano, Afrobeats, and Hip Hop. ‘C’est La Vie’ is a follow-up from her previous album La Dolce Vita, which came out in 2023.

The album starts with GIN’s single ‘Wo Ai Ni 我爱你’, which means ‘I Love You’ in Chinese. GIN takes listeners on an Amapiano storytelling adventure over a dance house-infused track. The catchy hook is in Chinese, where GIN takes Amapiano to another level of World Music. GIN shot the video in Singapore and is directed by her and Tun who is Singaporean and works with local independent artists. Another single ‘California Psychics’, is a dance anthem on staying true to oneself on achieving goals. California Psychics is basically a forewarning that energy is already perceived and to promote positivity. The beat is over Afrobeats with a touch of Amapiano.

On the Hip Hop side of the album, ‘Purple Lights (Vibe)’ takes listeners on a chill trap vibe journey. The vibe is like a soundtrack to driving around at night with the purple lights on throughout the city skyline.

GIN was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, with a growing international fanbase. ‘C’est La Vie’ is her fifth independent album, and she will be touring in 2025.
