Veteran West Coast lyricist Rugged Monk releases his new single ‘Rugged Monk Show Pt. II’, a commanding introduction to his forthcoming album Rugged’s Elements of Style, due February 3rd.

The date is intentional. February 3rd marks the shared birthday of Rugged Monk and Shaka Amazulu The 7th, the album’s sole producer. The project stands as a rare and focused collaboration: Rugged Monk’s first-ever solo album fully produced by Shaka Amazulu The 7th, with full creative direction from Rugged Monk.

‘Rugged Monk Show Pt. II‘ plays like an invitation and a warning, part theater announcement, part lyrical manifesto. Acting as both host and headliner, Rugged Monk welcomes listeners into a curated experience where discipline, performance, and raw presence intersect. The track’s cinematic structure sets the tone for an album rooted in mastery rather than spectacle.

A founding member of Black Knights and West Coast Killa Beez member, Rugged Monk’s legacy is deeply woven into the Wu-Tang universe.
