DOING IT FOR DOMINICA: A Fundraising Benefit To Aid The Relief In The Wake Of Tropical Storm Erika @ The Jazz Café, London, UK (11th Oct)

Over the weekend of August 29th 2015, Tropical Storm Erika devastated the Caribbean island of Dominica. Over 40 people are known to have died and over 80% of the island lost essential supplies such as electricity and water, and many of the remote villages suffered damage that the Government have said has set the country back by twenty years.

“Doing It For Dominica” Is an initiative which was started by some key people in the UK music industry, many of whom have heritage links to Dominica. The fund raising event takes place on Sunday 11th October 2015 at London’s Jazz Cafe in Camden. Expect live music, comedy, exclusive DJ sets and some of the UK’s biggest names all coming together to raise money for the relief effort. With the support of the Dominica High Commission, the funds raised will be sent to help with aid.

Bashy, DJ Seani B, Robbo Ranx, Martin Jay, DJ Ace, comedian Eddie Nestor, Jermain Defoe and Naughty Boy, are some of the names that will be part of ‘Doing It For Dominica’, with many more to be added.

Ticket donations are £20 in advance plus booking fee and available from the Jazz Café Box Office.
