Premiered exclusively by HipHopDX, Dim Mak’s prized production team GITCHII presents their new collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Count Justice, ‘Henny Hardaway‘. Featuring a contagious hook from Lucc White and smooth production from Justice, whose impressive credits include Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, and Rihanna, ‘Henny Hardaway’ is up for free download as GITCHII makes a statement with a bona fide street anthem.
By teaming up with one of the leading online influencers in Hip Hop/Rap music, Dim Mak’s reputation as a diverse tastemaker has never been stronger, and ‘FLY HII’ is here to prove it. Presented by Soundboks in association with GITCHII and Dim Mak, ‘FLY HII’ isn’t your typical overpriced, dimly lit LA party. ‘FLY HII’ is a free monthly-curated bash inspired by the new-era Internet fan base that is currently shaping contemporary Hip Hop/Rap music.
The party pays homage to Dim Mak’s Tuesdays @ Cinespace and Banana Split Sundaes @ LAX, which saw DJ AM and Steve Aoki hold legendary LA residencies back in 2008. While both GITCHII and R3LL hail from the East Coast (Philadelphia and New Jersey, respectively), they have relocated to LA to disseminate their vision and recreate those intimate house parties that jump started their passion for music. Following last month’s soft launch with guest sets from Bok Nero and Jahlil Beats, ‘FLY HII’ returns in full force this Saturday 7/16 at Union. The festivities will also feature Dim Mak’s newest signee R3LL, who frequently samples Hip Hop/Rap in his red-hot Jersey Club sound.
During a recent premiere of GITCHII’s remix of R3LL’s ‘All 2 U’, the production gurus shared some insight with REVOLT:
“We met with R3LL at SXSW when we played together at Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary party. R3LL shared our mutual passion for club-oriented music (specifically Baltimore and Jersey) and we all quickly hit it off. Flash forward a few months – now all of us are living in LA and R3LL is helping bring fresh club sounds to our new monthly Hip Hop party FLY HII”.
Join Dim Mak, Soundboks, HipHopDX, and GITCHII as they turn back the clock to inject new life into the LA scene, one verse at a time.
