Adian Coker – Nothing New (Music Video)

Building on his first EP ‘Time Out Of Mind’ released last year, his second EP ‘Connect’ has been hailed as his most accomplished record to date by tastemakers and the public – being more accessible whilst not compromising on the quality and depth of his production and lyrics, simply ‘connecting’ a lot more to the audience.

Fresh from a UK support tour with Hopsin and following the first video ‘Krispy’, the South London rapper releases the visuals to ‘Nothing New’, premiered by Nas’ own Mass Appeal!

As with his other visuals, it doesn’t disappoint. Directed by frequent collaborator Ian Roderick Gray, the striking black and white video is ambitious in its simplicity, powerful in its delivery, with Coker’s lone performances taking centre stage; moving from statuesque to a muted head bop that culminates in a flurry of arms and energy – mirroring the song’s own intensity.

“A rap version of Muhammad Ali” – Respect Mag
