Representing Dorchester, eloquent emcee Isaiah Dreads definitely puts the South Coast on the map! This is his third release in the space of three weeks and each week he sets the levels higher. He sprays a catapult of well thought out bars, combined with intelligent word play and fresh content- consistently spitting pure fire.
Isaiah has recently torn it down at the Link Up stage at the Great Escape festival and performed at Glastonbury for the second time already in his short career. Through his relentless determination, at the age of just 15, he pitched himself as a local talent to the organisers at Worthy Farm who let him grace the stage and three years later at the age of 18 he was back to shut down Glastonbury again.
Starting the year by dropping a legendary ‘Fire in the Booth‘ with Charlie Sloth, he demonstrated his intricate lyricism and impeccable flow which fascinated further tastemakers and highlighted his role in the shifting culture of the UK underground scene.
Isaiah Dreads has been dropping freestyle after freestyle and it has been pure fire! First there was ‘Victory’, then he turned the stakes higher with ‘Olympia’ and now the slick wordsmith is back with ‘Nothin’ But A Freestyle’!
The video is directed by Otekki who gives us a nostalgic grime feel with the use of analogue tv effects. It is simplistic yet ingenious and captures the heart of old school grime. The production, courtesy of Zeph Ellis matches the visuals and combines violin samples with a distorted electronic beats to match the white noise glitches in the visuals.
The third of four freestyles, there is only one left to drop and that will be coming your way soon!
