Talib Kweli heads to London for a special show at the Assembly Hall this December. Don’t miss out on seeing a true lyrical genius perform an inspirational show crammed with unmissable talent!

Talib Kweli needs no introduction in the world of Hip Hop. As a true veteran of the genre, with a career that spans over 2 decades, Kweli is sure to provide a truly memorable show. The Brooklyn born MC, label boss and social activist has worked with, and is admired by, an endless list of Hip Hop’s high and mighty such as Mos Def, MF DOOM, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar and Madlib just to name a few.

Forming the incredibly well respected Blackstar in the late 90’s with the almighty Mos Def they released their seminal, album, “Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star” in 1998. The huge success of this album confirmed Kweli’s place amongst the greats of Hip Hop. Alongside his work with Mos Def, his solo career has been incredibly successful. Releasing his critically acclaimed debut solo album “Quality” in 2002 on Rawkus Records Kweli was catapulted to musical fame. The album featured a young and unknown rapper who now goes by the name, Kanye West. Talib is an highly talented lyricist who has been consistently releasing thought-provoking and inspirational albums, as well as collaborations over the last 2 decades.

Alongside touring the world, managing own label “Blacksmith Records” and being a strong social activist, Kweli is still writing and creating music that his fans can connect and relate to. Expect to hear a mixture of old classics and new music at this exciting performance.
