67 – 5AM Vamping (Music Video) & Lets Lurk (iTunes) + UK Tour Update

48 hours after picking up the ‘Best Mixtape’ award for ‘In Skengs We Trust’ at the K.A & GRM Daily Rated Awards, the original UK Drillaz, ‘67’ release brand new mixtape ‘Lets Lurk’ and it has soared straight to No.1 in the iTunes Hip Hop chart.

Fans got an early taste of lead single ‘5am Vamping’ following its audio premiere via iD last month and hours ahead of the mixtape release, Complex UK premiered their mini movie for the record, following the south Londoners on a journey from their recent live set at Boiler Room down to the Tate Britain and around their hometown, Brixton Hill.

Released in early 2016, street anthem, ‘Lets Lurk’, featuring rap lord Giggs, provided the title and the first insight to the 18-track tape. Highly supported ‘Traumatized’ is also found lurking on the tracklist and now 67 unleash a tsunami of previously unheard audio that are set to make ‘Lets Lurk’ a future classic.

Known as one of the rawest crews in UK rap, the south Londoners have become infamous in a shortspace of time, gatecrashing UK music’s commercial landscape and gaining a mass following online. Compared to the likes of Section Boyz and Stormzy due to the similarities of their rapid ascents in to the media, that is where the similarities end and the authenticity of 67 shines through.

Their sound is an “unfiltered collision of Chiraq Drill, UK street slang and London road politics” – Complex.

defined by its dark, grim, lyrical content and ominous trap-influenced beats and has got music platforms worldwide talking.

Groundbreaking in every move that they’ve made so far, ‘Lets Lurk’ makes an equally impressive claim for major celebration.

Alongside the release of the album, the Brixton Hill crew announced a UK tour, which sold out and set to see them perform in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Brighton however, in a spate of recent shock announcement’s by numerous UK acts, 67 have announced that their tour has been postponed.

67 said in an official statement:

“We have been working tirelessly to provide new music and we have been excited to perform it to people throughout the country that have supported us throughout and to those that haven’t had the chance to see and hear us before.
Please be assured that we are doing all we can to reschedule any dates that have currenltly been postponed, which include London, Manchester and Brighton and thank you for all of the continued support, not only for us, but for everyone that is out here trying to do this thing professionally and properly.”
