Join Soundcrash at Echoes Live for Saturday Reggae Sessions with the innovative legend that is DJ Vadim, alongside London’s leading light in UK Dub & Reggae parties, Reggae Roast, Saturday 4th February.
We’re excited to be joining up with the highly-respected Reggae Roast collective, who have combined their label, events and sound system to spread the conscious message in music far and wide, and become one of the key players in the new wave of British Reggae.
And to celebrate Reggae Saturday Sessions, we’ve got none other than DJ Vadim, who for 2 decades has been one of the archetypal models of the forward thinking dj and producer. Starting from a foundation in instrumental hip hop music, Vadim has combined bass culture, reggae, dancehall, latin, rap, worldly sounds. Subsequently, the self professed ‘Sound Catcher’, has caught the eye of various different labels (including Ninja Tune and Barely Breaking Even), and performed over 2500 times across 68 countries around the globe.
HIs unique and fresh approach to music has seen Vadim work with a mighty roll call of leading musicians, singers and groups from all corners of the music world. For two decades the likes of DJ Krush, Stevie Wonder, The Roots, Prince, Public Enemy, Dilated Peoples, Kraftwerk, Sly and the Family Stone, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Super Furry Animals and Paul Weller amongst others have all called for a sprinkle of the Russian’s sonic alchemy.
A true innovator and one of the few djs and producers who it feels will never run short of ideas, don’t miss this opportunity to see a true pioneer up close and personal.
