Last Night In Paris release their debut EP, PURE
Featuring stand-out singles ‘Firedance’ and ‘Been a Minute’ as well as new offering ‘Forest’, Hip Hop cloud collective Last Night In Paris kick-off 2017 with the release of their debut ‘PURE‘ EP.
From the slow-jam, trap-infused beats of ‘Been A Minute‘ to Firedance’s pounding beat laced with delicate strings; debut offering ‘PURE’ solidifies Last Night in Paris’ ability to release slick cuts of genre-spanning Hip Hop and R&B. New cut Forest is the addictive final offering on the EP; layering bars from the two lyrically-dextrous MC’s with the lustful vocal; the collective take the hook from Ginuwine’s Pony and infuse it with the Last Night In Paris seductive sonic signature.
With a 2016 that saw the collective be given the seal of approval by Christine & The Queens – being personally selected to support her on her UK tour – Last Night In Paris follow the release of ‘PURE’ EP with the premiere of their second feature ‘EQUAL’. The 20-minute short is a stark yet beautiful portrayal about the loss of innocence, the realities of coming of age and the power of cause and effect. ‘EQUAL’ casts light on the duality and symbiotic nature of contrasting emotions and how one cannot be felt without the knowledge of how the other feels.
With members dotted around the globe and each individual’s role evolving during the collaborative process, Last Night In Paris are the cloud collective making waves on the scene. Comprised of rappers, vocalists, producers, videographers and artists, Last Night In Paris’ DIY approach to their art has attracted support from a wealth of tastemaker publications including VOGUE, i-D, Fader, The Guardian and DAZED.
