Virus Syndicate team up with live collaborator Dyno for new track B.A.D.
After a year on the road touring in support of fourth album ‘Symptomatic‘, Manchester based grime collective Virus Syndicate return to the releasing game with new single, ‘B.A.D.’ The track is due out on the 11th of January via Midication.
Virus Syndicate comprises front men and founding members Nika D and JSD, who are permanent features in the band’s ever evolving line-up. With over a decade’s worth of experience under their belt, they’ve developed a reputation for crushing boundaries thanks to their fusion grime music, which incorporates elements of drum and bass, hip hop, and trap.
Their hard work and ability to reinvent genres has not passed by unnoticed. The group recently worked with Black Sun Empire and State of Mind on internet sensation, Caterpillar, the video for which racked up 50,000 views on Youtube within three days of its release. Other notable songs include 2016’s lead single Psychopath – taken from this year’s album, Symptomatic, which charted independently in 8 countries in Europe – and Sick Wid It, which was included on Radio 1Xtra’s Best of British selection in 2015.
For new single ‘B.A.D.’, Virus Syndicate team up with long time live collaborator Dyno, who has toured with the band throughout 2016. A fellow Mancunian, he brings an added urgency to an already ferocious track that rips up the rule book.
“Virus Syndicate have always sought to include new sounds, to absorb fresh information” – Clash Music.
“The best live MCs on the face of God’s of Earth” – Mary Anne Hobbs (BBC Radio 1).
