Urban Vault caught up with East London based production duo II>Dimensionz to ask them some questions about their music, inspirations, and collaborations
II>Dimensionz are cousins Nathan and Jermaine Williams, born and raised in East London. Their dads played with the likes of Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan and LL Cool J, so the boys were brought up with music in their blood.

Where are you from?
We’re from East London.
How long have you been making music?
It’s been 2 years and 7 months since we’ve both come together to form II>DIMENSIONZ.
How many songs /albums have you released to date?
We have released our first single ‘Closer’ which came out on the 24th August and our EP ‘Love From Above’ which just came out (1st Sept) on all music platforms, so don’t forget to go n steam and/or download, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, amazon etc.
Can you tell us about your new track, the background, and inspirations behind it?
Well, our first single ‘Closer’ is about a relationship I was in, it’s a fun record and was inspired by Rosie Gaines ‘Closer Than Close’ musically we set out to bridge the gap between the old school and new school.
Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?
We have collaborated with – Mark Asari, Nick Brewer, Ebru Ellis & Kaishaw.
Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Definitely Chris Brown, Pharell, Timbaland, Charlie Wilson and Justin Timberlake.
What inspires you when you make your music?
It could be a number of things: the vibe at that very moment, a song we’ve listened to, an experience or just an idea that comes to our mind.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
We’ve both ended up here because it’s our purpose, our calling to be here. We both believe that gods have given us a gift and with that gift the ability to go out and inspire, encourage and uplift the next generation.
What do you think of the music industry in 2017?
A lot of different things lol. I’m sensing hunger, passion, tenacity, which is a good thing.
What have you got planned for 2018?
There’s quite a lot in the pipe line for 2018. Stay locked in on our social media platforms and that will give you all the info you need.
What’s your favorite track at the moment?
It would be Wiz Khalifa ft Ty Dolla Sign – ‘Something New’. We love how they remade Zapp & Rodgers, computer love! Bridging both the old n new school.
What do you do when your not making music?
Spend time with our family, the gym, hit the movies, play pool, bowling, go out to eat.
