Norwich, UK based recording artist COLL drops his new track TAKE IT SLOW, available on all digital & streaming platforms on November 10th
Norwich isn’t known for its Hip Hop talent. Yet rapper and producer COLL has made his way up the ladder slowly but surely with his own brand of Storytelling Hip Hop infused with melodies on self-produced instrumentals.
Influenced by Jay-Z, Kanye West, Wretch 32 & Timbaland to name a few, COLL realized he had a real talent for music when his debut LP ‘TRU Life’ was released in 2014 by True Music Records (A Label which was co-founded by COLL) on all major digital outlets. The LP was Supported by BBC Introducing, Future Radio, Mustard TV, UKB, and Outline magazine to name a few.
Visuals for ‘Old Days’, (The Godfather-esc) ‘Call it Life’, ‘Power couple’ & the heartfelt delivery on single ‘High Hopes’ raised COLL’s profile locally. This led to live shows supporting acts Lethal Bizzle, Grime Legend Sway, Hip Hop Legends Jungle Brothers & a spot for COLL at the ‘BBC Radio 1’s’ Academy in Norwich.
2016 started with numerous freestyles released every Friday for 20 weeks on his Youtube channel to follow up the melodic single ‘What They Call Me’. COLL went on to have live shows for ILUVLIVE London with a full band, The Princes Trust & Epic Studios.
Whilst he continues to release new music on his Soundcloud and his own Youtube channel he has also been working on his debut EP which will be released early 2018.
‘Take It Slow’ is the beginning of a new chapter for the MC. Taken from his forthcoming EP that will be released early 2018, it Mixes a slow tempo Hip Hop beat with smooth melodies that are reminiscent of new school R&B. The second verse shows off COLL’s laid-back flow while seamlessly riding the beat. This is just a taster of things to come from the upcoming EP.
‘Take it Slow’ is available on all digital & streaming platforms on November 10th.
